How We Started

Born in Kampala, Built for Africa

Ascend Consulting Uganda was founded in 2014 by a group of passionate professionals who saw a gap in the market: world-class coaching services that were truly rooted in the African context.

Our founders — experienced coaches, HR leaders, and communication specialists — recognized that generic coaching programs imported from abroad often missed the cultural nuances, workplace dynamics, and life realities of Ugandan professionals.

So they built something different. Something that speaks to the ambitions of a mid-career manager in Kampala, the communication challenges of a young entrepreneur in Entebbe, and the leadership pressures on a senior executive navigating Uganda's complex business environment.

Over 12 years, we've grown from a small team of 3 coaches to a team of 14 certified professionals, having transformed the careers of over 500 individuals and partnered with more than 60 organizations across Uganda and East Africa.
